THE GOVERNMENT OFFERS GUARANTEES AND MEXICO SUPPORTS THE RETURN OF THE COORDINATING BOARD’S NEGOTIATORS, BOGOTA-TLAXCALA

In the context of the recess agreed for the peace talks, the Government of the Republic of Colombia and the Simón Bolívar Guerrilla Coordinating Board (Coordinadora Guerrillera Simón Bolívar, CGSB) communicate the following:

30 June has been agreed as the date for the return of CGSB negotiators to the country.

The negotiating team will be transported by air in an official plane of the Republic of Mexico to an intermediary airport in Colombia and will continue in two helicopters to the location indicated by the CGSB members.

Two officials from the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and two members of the Colombian Council for Peace will accompany the insurgents on the journey as guarantors.
