In this short agreement the Sides note the progress achieved in the dialogue, and reconfirm their readiness to sign before the end of an agreement on the mechanism of participation of vehicles from Transdniestria in international road traffic. The sides also reconfirm their earlier commitments to resolve all issues exclusively at the negotiation table.

27-28 November 2017, Vienna

On 27-28 November 2017, a meeting of the “Permanent Conference for Political Questions in the Framework of the Negotiating Process on the Transdniestrian Settlement” took place in Vienna.

The participants in the meeting had a substantial exchange of opinions on issues outlined in the Protocol of the Berlin meeting in the 5+2 format of 2-3 June 2016, as well as on other topical issues of the negotiating process.

In this context, the participants in the meeting noted the progress achieved in the dialogue between the Sides, in particular the signed agreements on apostilization of educational documents issued in Transdniestria, organization of interaction in the field of telecommunications, ensuring the functioning of the Moldova-administered Latin Script Schools, use of farmlands in Dubasari region, as well as the opening of the bridge across the Dniester/Nistru River between villages Gura Bicului and Bychok.

The Sides agreed to make efforts in order to resolve other priority issues of the negotiating process set in the Berlin Protocol.

The Sides reconfirmed the readiness to coordinate and sign before the end of February 2018 an agreement on the mechanism of participation of vehicles from Transdniestria in the international road traffic.

The Sides also agreed to achieve in the course of 2018 practical results on the implementation of items 5 and 6 of the Berlin Protocol.

The Sides commit to draw on the positive achievements and further work on settling the issues in the socio-economic and humanitarian spheres for the benefit of people.

The participants in the meeting pronounced for the rhythmical work of the negotiating process at all its levels.

The Sides reconfirm their earlier commitments to resolve all issues exclusively at the negotiation table, with the assistance of and mediation by the OSCE, the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
