    The Ethiopian government and the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) have reached a reconciliation agreement in Asmara. The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the OLF have signed a Reconciliation Agreement today in Asmara.

The Agreement, reached between the President of the Oromo Region, Mr. Lemma Mergesa & OLF Chairman, Mr. Dawd Ibsa, provides for

i) termination of hostilities

The Agreement further states that

ii) the OLF will conduct its Political activities in Ethiopia through peaceful means.

The two sides also agreed:

(iii) to establish Joint Committee to implement the agreement.
