Agreement

In a joint effort to pursue a just, equitable and lasting peace, the GRP and the MILF representatives met on September 2, 1999 at the provincial capitol complex, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

During the meeting, both parties agreed to hold the opening ceremony of the formal peace talks at the historic Da'wah Center, Crossing Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao on October 25, 1999.

Both parties also agreed that the inspections, verifications and acknowledgment of the remaining MILF identified areas shall continue until its completion on December 31, 1999.
