CESSATION OF HOSTILITIES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA AND THE LORD'S RESISTANCE ARMY/MOVEMENT
JUBA, SUDAN
ADDENDUM 6
WHERE:
The Governnment of the Republic of Uganda (GOU) and the Lord's Resistance Army/Movement (LRA/M) (hereinafter referred to as "the Parties") signed a Cessation of Hostilities Agreement (the Agreement) on the 26th August 2006, under which the Parties agreed to cease all hostile military and other actions or propaganda directed against each other;
The parties have signed five addenda to the Agreement (Addenda 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) on 1st November 2006, 16th December 2006, 14th April 2007, 3rd November 2007 and 30th January 2008, respectively.
Now therefore the Parties agree as follows:
1. This Addendum shall form part of the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement, and the Parties hereby recommit themselves to implementing the terms of the Agreement as amended and extended by the five previous addenda.
2. The Cessation of Hostilities Agreement is extended until the ceasefire comes into force, and in any event not later than 28th March 2008, by which date the Final Peace Agreement shall have been signed.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the duly authorized representatives of the Parties have signed this Addendum in Juba on the 1st day of March, 2008.
