JOINT COMMUNIQUÉ

HAVANA, DECEMBER 3, 2014

The delegations of the National Government and the FARC-EP, after a joint analysis of the events faced over the past weeks, consider that the crisis has been overcome and hereby inform that:

1. We have agreed that the next dialogue cycle will take place between December 10 and 17, seeking to move forward on the topic of de-escalating the conflict in order to reach an agreement as promptly as possible on this matter.

2. On December 15, we will receive the first delegation of organizations within the framework of the gender sub-commission.

3. On December 16, we will hold the fifth and last audience with victims of the conflict.

4. The Table will resume its work on the second week of the month of January, 2015, on a date to be defined.

5. Once again, the delegations wish to thank the guarantor countries, Cuba and Norway, as well as the International Committee of the Red Cross, for their support which was essential for the success of the recent liberations which took place without any mishaps and in an expeditious manner, as agreed by the delegations in Havana.

6. The delegations agreed to set up a permanent mechanism, through the guarantor countries, to facilitate the solution of eventual crises which may arise in the future.
