PA-X Women, Girls, and Gender (PA-X Gender) Database

The database lists all the peace agreements between 1990 and 2024 which have provisions on women, girls, gender or sexual violence, and provides full searchable content, in simple or advanced mode. See further User guide, Peace Agreement Definitions, Terms of Use, Codebook.

This release adds 14 new agreements from the 8th release of the main PA-X database.

Find agreements within a specific geographical region.
Find agreements signed by selected country or entity.
Find agreements depending on level of agreement: international, national, or local. (Please note that the local agreements with no UCDP code do not satisfy the 25 battle-related deaths criterion. Exclude unless you are interested in this type of negotiation practice.)
Find agreements by their title.
Find agreements signed after a certain date.
Find agreements signed before a certain date.

Search by Agreement Content

Look for specific groups of issues addressed by the agreement.
Optionally, refine your results for more specific data.
Find agreements with the specified text in the body of the agreement document.

Filter search by

Find agreements in a particular stage.
Find agreements with a certain nature of the conflict.
Find agreements by their status.
Find agreements associated with a specific peace process.

PA-X Version

Optionally restrict results to agreements published in particular PA-X versions. Leave unchecked to include all versions.
